  • Yes, there are limited car parks available onsite at the Kingston Butter Factory.

    Once those fill up, traffic control will guide you to nearby overflow parking areas.

  • Yes! We highly recommend using public transport to get to and from the event whenever possible.

    Just catch the train to Kingston Station — it’s a short walk from there!

  • Yes! If you’re arriving by bus, please come straight to The Butter Factory. You’ll be directed to the designated Drop-Off Zone first, then guided to the bus parking area.

    Special note for bus drivers: Dedicated bus parking is available—please follow the directions of traffic control for a smooth arrival and parking experience.

  • GENERAL PHOTOGRAPHY:

    By purchasing a ticket to WONDERWORLD, you acknowledge and agree that photography, video and other media may be captured throughout the event. By attending, you consent to Youth Alive Queensland and its authorised photographers, videographers and media teams capturing and using your image, likeness and/or voice in photographs, video and other media for event documentation, promotional material, social media, advertising and other Youth Alive communications.

    If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, an Exclusion Zone will be available at the event. Please visit the Box Office on arrival and speak with a member of the Youth Alive team, who will provide you with information about accessing the Exclusion Zone.

    Please note that WONDERWORLD is a large public event and photography and filming will take place throughout the venue. Youth Alive Queensland will take reasonable steps to avoid intentionally capturing people who have identified themselves as not wishing to be photographed or filmed.

    DRONE IN OPERATION:

    Drone Operation Disclosure & Notice

    To capture the excitement of WonderWorld 2026 and bring an extra layer of immersion to everyone attending, we will be utilising live-streamed aerial drone coverage throughout the event.

    By streaming dynamic, live overhead footage to event screens, participants and spectators alike can experience the action from unique angles in real time. Participant safety is our highest priority, our drone operation is fully licensed and engineered from the ground up to ensure a safe, engaging experience for all attendees.

    Operational & Safety Details

    • 1. Flight Operations

      The drone will be operating in the airspace above and near active event zones, outdoor activity areas, and participants under CASA’s Over Or Near People (OONP) Pathway 2 approval, operated by a licensed Remote Pilot.

    • 2. Aircraft & Propeller Safety Mitigations

      The operator has put strict control measures in place:

      • Propeller Safety & Shielding: The drone is fitted with protective propeller guards to provide physical protection from rotating propellers. Additionally, small, thin propellers designed to be unable to cause harm have been specifically selected for this operation.

      • Lightweight Frame: The aircraft is a small, lightweight plastic drone built to absorb potential impact energy.

      • Comprehensive Operational Controls: Low kinetic energy thresholds are maintained through a combination of hardware limitation, software limits, pilot controls, and dedicated spotter protocols, ensuring the drone cannot travel fast or high enough to cause harm if a failure occurs.

    • 3. Risk Acknowledgment & Emergency Response

      While strict safety limits are enforced, operating hardware overhead carries a small residual risk of mechanical failure. In the event of an emergency, participants must follow all verbal instructions from the remote pilot or event marshals immediately.

    • 4. Guardian Informed Consent (Minors)

      Where consent is sought under CASA Pathway 2 guidelines, a parent or legal guardian acknowledges these safety terms on behalf of attendees under 18 years of age.

    By purchasing a ticket to WonderWorld 2026 and attending the event, you confirm that you (and any minor dependents under your care) have read and understood the drone safety disclosure above and consent to the drone operation and live streaming in the event area.
